Hello, good people :)
After 7 years of publishing The Better Part, I am ready to stop.
As many of you probably recognize, the reflections simply repeat every three years, following the calendar of the Church. Using the search bar above, you can type in the Sunday you are looking for (eg. 20th Sunday) and the reflections that match will show up. Until Advent 2026, you are looking for "year A" reflections.
The podcast will continue. You can find it on most Podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Podbean).
God bless you all and the children you serve.
Paula

Jesus helps us to understand who he is and what he does. In the Gospel for this Sunday, Jesus begins with something that every one of the people who gather about him recognize: I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Every person gathered knows about the bread that came down from heaven. They all kn

2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Ages 9-12): Lamb of God
John 1:29-34 Listen here to the Gospel and Reflectio n After weeks of preparing and celebrating the feast of Christmas, we return to Ordinary Time. The church changes the colour back to green. However, in only a few short weeks we will enter another season of preparation and we look toward the feast of Easter. Always, Jesus' death and Resurrection is with us. In the Gospel reading for this Sunday, though, Jesus' death and Resurrection is still in his future. He just got bap
